Construction Activity for the week of September 22, 2014

Here is the planned construction activity for the week of September 22, 2014.

The overall structure on the Nursing, Science and Education building is complete. The building's utilities are almost complete on the first floor and about half complete on the 2nd. We are starting to layout the 3rd floor. We should start the sheetrocking on the 1st floor. The exterior framing should be completed this week and the fiber board installation will begin. We will also start to set the curbs for the roof-top equipment.

The slabs on the Student Center and Central Plant have been poured and are now curing. We will continue the masonry work. Structural steel work should begin on the Central Plant. We will continue to work on the stairs and ramps in front of the Center. Almost all of the onsite utilities are in place. We made final payment to the City last week and should have the go-ahead to start to connect those utilities. When this work begins, there will be disruptions to traffic and workers outside of the fences. We will try to send out portal announcements 48 hour in advance of any major disruptions. Continue to be alert of your surrounding and keep safety first.
