Construction Activity for the week of September 29, 2014

Here are the planned construction activities for the week of September 29, 2014.

The yellow fiber board will be installed on the south side of the Nursing, Science and Education building. Framing is complete on the 1st floor and sheetrock is starting to be installed, as are the final connections for electrical and plumbing. Framing is nearing completion on the 2nd floor. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades are working feverously in this area. On the 3rd floor, fire suppression is being install and ducting is starting.

The steel for the central plant arrived last week and should be installed this week. The steel for the rest of the Student Center is scheduled to arrive this week. Once it's here, don't blink. The block work and steel will go up simultaneously.

There won't be much work on the site other than on the planter boxes, stairs and ramps to the Student Center. The City is going through the final stages to permit us to work in their right-of-way. Watch for portal announcements and general email blasts to alert you of unusual activities in the roads and outside of the construction fences. Use caution approaching and leaving campus and continue to be courteous in the parking lots. More parking is on the way, it's just going to take some time to get there.
