Our Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment specializes in offering federal, state and institutional financial aid and scholarship programs to help students attend NSC.
Types of Aid
- Scholarships are, in effect, free money. You don't have to pay it back. Scholarships are usually awarded based on merit and need, or they can be geared toward assisting certain groups.
- Grants are given by the institution, as well as the state and federal government. They re usually based on income and usually don't have to be repaid.
- Loans are usually money borrowed from the federal government, though loans from private sources also exist. This is money that must be repaid, with interest.
- Work Study lets you use an NSC campus job to help pay for your education.
Your gateway to all types of aid is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which can be completed online.
