First-Year Experience

Discover. Take fun, provocative versions of your required core curriculum courses. Rather than enroll in Math 120 (Fundamentals of College Math), you could sign up for the First-Year Experience (FYE) version: Polling, Voting, and the 2008 Presidential Election. Rather than take the traditional version of English 102, students can choose the FYE version, From Osama to Obama: September 11th and its Aftermath.

All college courses challenge you to think, but with the First-Year Experience you'll look forward to doing it.

Connect. Make friends, find study partners, and experience college life to the fullest. The First-Year Experience groups students into clusters that learn, study, and grow together. There's more to college than taking classes and studying, and the FYE helps students experience the other side the friendships, camaraderie, and support that make college special.

Succeed. The First-Year experience will help you reach your goals. Students in FYE programs enjoy college more, are more likely to stay in school, and earn their degrees in less time than other students.
