While the campus continues to grow, our goal is to maintain the close-knit environment that has made NSC special since the beginning, shared Brandi Robinson, events coordinator and Spirit Week director. Spirit Week provides opportunities for the campus community to mingle, students and faculty to connect outside of the classroom, and most importantly, for all to tout their Scorpion Pride.
Nevada State College appoints Associate Vice President of Community Engagement and Diversity Initiatives
NSC has announced the appointment of Edith Fernandez to the position of Associate Vice President of Community Engagement and Diversity Initiatives after a national search. In this new leadership role, Fernandez will work closely with the Southern Nevada community and the institution to support community outreach and diversity initiatives as well as coordinate internal efforts to retain and graduate students of all backgrounds.
Presidential Scholarships awarded to nine students in recognition of outstanding academic achievements
It's an honor for Nevada State College and the Office of the President to be able to reward our students as they start their studies off with such a focus on academic success, said President Bart Patterson. I look forward to having these amazing scholars on campus to inspire all students to achieve success.
