NSC Celebrates Black History Month
Women of Excellence highlighted for first-ever Status of Women event

On March 11, 2015, the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) will host its first-ever Status of Women event, featuring Vice Chancellor Catherine Cortez Masto as the keynote speaker.

The Office of Community Engagement and Diversity Initiatives (CEDI) at NSC is collaborating with representatives from other NSHE institutions to plan the event, which will be held at UNLV from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
NSC Welcomes New Gear Up Ambassador
Nevada State College and the Office of Community Engagement and Diversity Initiatives (CEDI) welcome Nick Mathews as NSC's new Gear Up Ambassador.

A recent UNLV graduate with a bachelor's degree in Psychology, Mathews is proof that the Gear Up program works. Gear Up helped me a great deal while I was going to high school in the Las Vegas valley, Mathews said. And now I am doing my part to continue to help hundreds of students every week.
