The City of Henderson, Nevada's second largest city, is characterized by its own distinct character.
NSC is located in the foothills of Henderson, Nevada only 15 miles from the world famous Las Vegas Strip. While close to the neon lights and 24- hour lifestyle of its neighboring city, Henderson is a small and friendly community with many cultural and outdoor activities to offer. Parks, bike trails, lakes and hiking are all easily accessible year-round. There are also frequent city-sponsored activities like arts and crafts fairs, farmers markets, live music and cultural events. Henderson has beautiful scenery, but it is also home to luxury resorts with casinos and spas plus several upscale shopping malls.
The City of Henderson's Department of Cultural Arts and Tourism's mission is to provide a broad range of cultural and artistic opportunities for the Henderson community through the sponsorship of concerts, performances, visual arts exhibits, festivals and civic events at various locations throughout the city of Henderson.
The Henderson Pavilion, Henderson Convention Center, Henderson Amphitheatre, and Henderson Events Plaza are all managed by the Department of Cultural Arts and Tourism.
