Nevada State College Announces Public Phase of Teachers Now Campaign

Nevada State College officials and leaders in the community came together April 23, 2019 to announce and celebrate the public phase of the college’s Teachers Now capital campaign to create a pipeline of highly qualified, fully-licensed teacher in the state of Nevada. To date, Nevada State College has raised $9 million for Teachers Now, 75 percent of its $12 million capital campaign goal. 

President Bart Patterson and School of Education Dean Dennis Potthoff presented a comprehensive look of the Teachers Now campaign progress and what this milestone means for the future of education in Nevada.

The Teachers Now campaign, which launched in 2018 and is entirely donor-driven, has three key components: construction of a School of Education building, creation of new academic programs in high need teaching areas, and a robust scholarship program that will provide financial support for individuals who choose to pursue a career in K-12 education.

Las Vegas Lights Program to Benefit Nevada State Students

Nevada State College is proud to announce its partnership with the Las Vegas Lights will allow fans to donate a portion of their ticket cost to benefit Nevada State College students. With the creation of the “STATE” promotional code as part of Lights FC “Give Back” program, $5 will be donated to Nevada State College for every ticket purchased using the “STATE” code all season long.
