Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Dr. Sarah Frey most recently served as the Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education at the University of California, Merced. Before that, she served as Assistant Vice Provost for Educational Innovation at The University of Illinois. From her experience at these institutions, Dr. Frey holds expertise in implementing university initiatives and executing creative student success projects. She also holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arizona.

“I am excited and honored to serve as the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Nevada State University,” said Dr. Sarah Frey. “As an academic leader and a mathematician, I will combine my deep understanding of data and passion for academic achievement to amplify student success and enhance organizational efficiency. My experience working at a variety of institutional settings has left me with a breadth of experiences and a deep reserve of models, ideas and frameworks for education and scholarship support. I look forward to bringing all of this experience and skills to my work here at Nevada State.”
