Spanish Minor

Immerse Yourself in Spanish Language Learning

The United States has the second largest population of Spanish speakers in the world. By pursuing a Minor in Spanish, you can learn more about this diverse community and improve your communicative skills by participating in language-learning activities that are based on real-world situations.

The curriculum includes a wide range of classes that cover:

  • Elementary, intermediate, and advanced language skills
  • Cultural knowledge and understanding
  • Literature in Spanish

As you progress in these classes, you’ll develop cultural, literary, and linguistic competence. In addition, the program will equip you with the skills you need to pursue a higher degree or career in Spanish.

Placement testing is available for students who have previous experience with Spanish and who wish to be placed into a higher level.
