Learn the caring sciences

With the intentional structuring of the curricula in the caring sciences based upon the work of nurse theorist Dr. Jean Watson, our faculty are here to support you on your journey to academic and professional success. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Nevada State College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

The part-time track is completed in eight consecutive semesters, including summers. It is designed for individuals who have obligations that impact their ability to attend the rigorous full-time academic schedule of the full-time track. Students attend class, lab, and practicum two to three days per week, usually Thursday through Saturday during both day and evening hours. After completion of the program, graduates are qualified to take the registered nurse licensing examination (NCLEX-RN).
