Writing Center | Nevada State College

Writing Center

All writers need readers.

Funded by a gift from the Rogers Foundation, the Nevada State College Writing Center offers free writing support for Nevada State students, faculty, staff, and recent alumni.

Our highly-trained peer writing specialists come from degree programs across the campus, including Math, Business, Criminal Justice, Biology, Nursing, Visual Media, Education, and English. Everybody writes at Nevada State!

We use antiracist and access-focused approaches to support writers with:

  • research papers
  • creative works
  • personal statements
  • discussion posts
  • posters
  • powerpoint presentations
  • video compositions
  • and more!

Writers: Learn more about our online sessions and how to make an appointment.

Want to talk about ideas in languages other than English? Many of our writing specialists are multilingual, and all our specialists are trained in translingual approaches. That means that everyone will do their best to connect with every language you want to include. We also recognize the value of code-meshing and are prepared to help writers bring their full selves to the page.

Faculty: Learn more about our support for your teaching and for your own writing projects here.
