Confirmed cases of COVID-19 within our NSC community are listed below.
Please continue to be mindful of the best practices for personal hygiene and social distancing recommended by the CDC. You can find information on prevention at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html.
All Scorpions are encouraged to self-report at nsc.edu/coronavirus or via the State Safe app when presumed or confirmed positive for Coronavirus. NS will continue posting all reported cases and monitoring trends. Individuals who submit a self-report will receive an automatic email featuring:
- Directions to use CDC’s Isolation and Exposure Calculator
- Steps to report your positive case through Nevada Health Response
- CDC guidance on when and how to talk to your close contacts
- Contact information for a NS COVID-19 Case Manager if additional support is required
Nevada State no longer provides contact tracing. Individual health care providers are responsible for notifying the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) about all laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases. SNHD coordinates contact tracing and provides guidance to close contacts – individuals who have been within six feet for 15 minutes or more – which may include their need to self-quarantine and get tested. The timing of the outreach may depend on the volume of caseloads public health officials are managing.
When an individual is confirmed to have COVID-19, the Southern Nevada Health District determines who they may have had close contact with and guidance is provided directly to those individuals. Please know that if there is a need for anyone to be quarantined or tested, they will be contacted by the Southern Nevada Health District. You can stay updated on current documented cases in Clark County by visiting the Southern Nevada Health District website at http://covid.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/data/.
The Division of Culture, Planning & Policy staff are available to provide Information and support to anyone who reaches out to coronavirus@nsc.edu.
