Hi, I’m Rileigh!
I moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Las Vegas, Nevada to work as an academic advisor at Nevada State College. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Florida in 2013, earning my Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Law and Philosophy. In 2016, I earned my Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Florida, specializing in Normative Ethics and Applied Ethics. After earning my graduate degree, I began teaching philosophy at various colleges throughout Florida and eventually returned to my alma mater, UNF, to work as an academic advisor. After serving as an academic advisor at UNF for two years, I moved to Nevada State College to join the Liberal Arts team! Helping students has always been my passion—there is nothing more rewarding than helping students realize their potential and achieve their goals. I am so excited to get to know you and I look forward to assisting you on your academic journey!
I am a Las Vegas native and graduated from Nevada State College May of 2020. I received her Bachelor’s degree in both Communications with a Public relations concentration and Psychology. During my time at NSC, I served as the 2 term student body president (NSSA) from 2018-2020 and Nevada Student Alliance (NSA) Chair for NSHE from 2019-2020. I was able to accomplish a lot of amazing things at this college. A lot of that had to do with how great our students are and making their experience better. That’s why student success is so important! I believe that together we can help students reach their fullest potential and find their own path. College is the time to figure out where you want to go and who you want to be. The best way to help students to get there is by being apart of this awesome advising team.
Hi all! My name is Clare and I am a STEM/Pre-Nursing advisor. I am a native to Las Vegas and am very happy to be working with students in my hometown. I attend the University of Nevada, Reno, where I received my Bachelors of Arts in English Literature. During my time at UNR, I worked at the University’s Library as a Peer Research Consultant and was given the opportunity to be a Junior Fellow at The Library of Congress. After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I moved back to Las Vegas and was hired to work in the Registrar’s Office here at NSC, which I did while completing my Master degree online in Library and Information Science from St. John’s University. I am now working to make an impact on Pre-Nursing and STEM student’s education and am looking forward to meeting you!
