Rileigh Merritt-Dietz

Hi, I’m Rileigh!

I moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Las Vegas, Nevada to work as an academic advisor at Nevada State College. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Florida in 2013, earning my Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Law and Philosophy. In 2016, I earned my Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Florida, specializing in Normative Ethics and Applied Ethics. After earning my graduate degree, I began teaching philosophy at various colleges throughout Florida and eventually returned to my alma mater, UNF, to work as an academic advisor. After serving as an academic advisor at UNF for two years, I moved to Nevada State College to join the Liberal Arts team! Helping students has always been my passion—there is nothing more rewarding than helping students realize their potential and achieve their goals. I am so excited to get to know you and I look forward to assisting you on your academic journey!

Hi all! My name is Clare and I am a STEM/Pre-Nursing advisor. I am a native to Las Vegas and am very happy to be working with students in my hometown. I attend the University of Nevada, Reno, where I received my Bachelors of Arts in English Literature. During my time at UNR, I worked at the University’s Library as a Peer Research Consultant and was given the opportunity to be a Junior Fellow at The Library of Congress. After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I moved back to Las Vegas and was hired to work in the Registrar’s Office here at NSC, which I did while completing my Master degree online in Library and Information Science from St. John’s University. I am now working to make an impact on Pre-Nursing and STEM student’s education and am looking forward to meeting you!

Hi! Originally from the east coast, I received my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Albright College and my Master of Science in School Counseling from Villanova University. In college, I always had a desire to help students discover a new appreciation for learning and the resources available to them, as I worked as a tutor and orientation leader. Throughout my experiences working with students in my graduate schooling, I developed a love for academic advising and assisting students in reaching their potentials. I am excited to work as a Education Advisor and be a part of the Nevada State College community!
