Hi, I’m Alesha! I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and am excited to be working for Nevada State College to help students reach their academic goals right here in my hometown. I received my Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies with concentrations in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Dixie State University. While at Dixie State University I participated in the student ambassador program which I served in for four years. My work as an ambassador is what sparked my interest in working in higher education. I discovered that I had a passion for working with students and found great joy in assisting students throughout their academic career. After graduating in 2017 I was hired at DSU as an academic advisor. I had the privilege of working with several wonderful students, faculty and staff member during the two years that I served in this position. While working at DSU I simultaneously pursued my graduate degree. I received my Master of Science in Forensic Psychology in 2019. I am now enthusiastic to work with, support and encourage the great population of students here at NSC!

After graduating with my bachelor’s degree, I was hired as a full time academic advisor. It was during this time I earned my Master’s Degree in Education Information Technology, because I was extremely interested in how student gather information using technology.
