Heather Lang-Cassera serves as Adjunct Faculty Coordinator for the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, for which she also teaches English courses such as Composition I, Introduction to Creative Writing, World Literature II, and more. Heather is a member of the NSC Arts & Culture Council, and she serves as a Faculty Advisor for the student creative writing club, Blue Sage Writer’s Guild, and their literary journal, 300 Days of Sun.
Heather is Clark County, Nevada’s 2019-2021 Poet Laureate, and she holds an MFA in Poetry with a Certificate in Literary Translation. In 2017, she was named Las Vegas’ Best Local Writer or Poet by the readers of KNPR’s Desert Companion, and her poems are published widely. Heather serves as World Literature Editor and literary critic for The Literary Review.
