Although I have been with Nevada State College for only 2 years, my roots in Henderson, NV, run deep. I attended all of K-12 in Henderson and graduated from Basic High School in 1992. I went on to study mathematics education at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). After graduation in 1997, I returned to my high school alma mater and began my teaching career. In 2001, my family moved to Flower Mound, Texas, where I attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a Masters Degree in Education. Six years later, we moved back to Henderson, Nevada, and I continued teaching math classes at the high school and college level. In the fall of 2019, I joined Nevada State College. As the Coordinator of High School Partnerships, I oversee the Dual Credit Program. I love working with high school administrators and teachers as they provide college-bound students with opportunities to start their college work while still in high school. In my free time, I like playing the piano and accordion or pounding the pavement training for a half-marathon – preferably one that I have to travel to!
