Dr. Logan Kennedy is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Nevada State College (NSC). Dr. Kennedy completed his doctorate in criminology and criminal justice at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His research focuses on the interaction between police and crowds during special events, including crowd and event characteristics that may lead to violence. His current projects involve police perceptions of protest crowds and characteristics associated with the adoption of specific police protest management strategies. Dr. Kennedy emphasizes mentorship in his teaching approach. Previously, he was responsible for mentoring undergraduate students to engage in research opportunities. He thoroughly enjoys helping students achieve their academic and career goals. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching baseball, and watching movies.
