Scorpion Academic Scholarship Program

Nevada State University has developed one of the most attractive recruitment scholarship offerings in the State of Nevada.  The scholarship offerings described on this page reward incoming students for their prior academic performance and help put you on the road to success at Nevada State.

Matching Scholarship Program

This scholarship is available to new and continuing students. Nevada State University will provide a match of up to $500 total per semester to students who receive scholarships from an outside agency for their attendance at Nevada State University (excludes any scholarships awarded by Nevada State University, NSHE, or the State of Nevada).

The match will be automatically applied during the semester the outside scholarship is awarded to degree-seeking students with a minimum 2.75 cumulative NS GPA who are making Satisfactory Academic Progress and are enrolled full-time (12 or more financial aid-eligible credits†). Award disbursements will be held each semester until after the enrollment cancellation for non-attendance has taken place.

Millennium Scholarship

Eligible Millennium Scholars must be enrolled full-time (12 or more financial aid-eligible credits) to receive the $60 per credit award and may be funded for up to 15 credits per semester. Remedial courses are not eligible for funding, but will count toward the full-time enrollment requirement. Shared Energy Future Foundation  Scholarships

 

The Shared Energy Future Foundation is now accepting applications for their 2024 scholarships awarding $20,000 for STEM education and trade schools. High school seniors or those in first-year apprenticeships can apply for one of (10) $1,500 STEM scholarships and (5) $1,000 trade school scholarships. The deadline to apply is Thursday, February 29 at 11:59 PM PST.

Financial Aid Eligible Credits

† In order to qualify for any financial aid funding, including grants, scholarships or loans, a course must fulfill an unmet requirement for a student’s degree or certificate program at Nevada State University.
