At Nevada State College, students come first. Though the campus will look different this fall as we take measures to keep everyone safe, the following offices will continue to support your education and success:

Academic Success Center – The ASC will provide tutoring and supported study sessions/embedded course support online. Staff will be available to assist you with your study or tutoring needs M-TH 9 am – 7 pm; Friday 9 am – 5 pm; Saturday 9 am – 3 pm. For after-hours support, all students can access online tutoring via their Canvas course home page by clicking on the “Smarthinking Online Tutoring” option. Students are encouraged to use ASC tutoring services whenever possible and reserve Smarthinking for when the ASC cannot meet their needs.

Admissions & Recruitment – The Office of Admissions & Recruitment will be available to answer your questions 8 a.m.-5 p.m. M-F. For recruitment questions, you can reach us at or 702-992-2170. For admissions information, contact us at or 702-992-2130.

Advising – The Advising Center will continue to provide support and hold student appointments during normal business hours via phone. Students are encouraged to self-schedule appointments; please visit for directions. You also may contact us via email at or by phone at 702-992-2160.

Bookstore – The NSC Bookstore is here to serve you this fall and help make this a successful semester. From Aug. 23 to Sept. 5, the bookstore is open from 9am-6pm Monday through Thursday, and 9am-3pm on Friday. From Sept. 6 to Dec. 12, the bookstore is open from 9am- 4:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 9am-2pm on Friday. The Bookstore will be closed on Saturday and Sunday throughout the semester. However, students can use our website at any time at and can call us at 702-992-2340 during operating hours.

CARE Team/Case Manager – Our Case Manager, Laura Hinojosa, is available by phone appointment between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. M-F. Cashiering – the Cashier’s office will continue to provide remote support during normal business hours. Community Engagement & Diversity Initiatives (CEDI) – Programming and events for CEDI will be delivered remotely for Fall 2020. Details about programs, events, and drop-in virtual office hours will be posted to all social media platforms for CEDI, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Library – The Marydean Martin Library’s fall hours will be Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5p.m. Students are encouraged to seek research assistance via our “Meet with a Librarian” service. Nepantla Program – The Nepantla Program will be offering virtual support via phone or video appointments. Students are encouraged to self-schedule appointments by visiting our scheduling link.
