At Nevada State College, students come first. Though the campus will look different this fall as we take measures to keep everyone safe, the following offices will continue to support your education and success:
Academic Success Center –The ASC will provide tutoring and supported study sessions/embedded course support online. To book a tutor please visit: www.nsc.mywconline.com or watch this video tutorial. For questions or help booking a Tutor, contact us during our Virtual Help Desk Hours (listed below). For after-hours tutoring support, all students can access online tutoring via their Canvas course home page by clicking on the “Smarthinking Online Tutoring” option. Students are allotted 15 hours for this service for the year and are encouraged to use ASC tutoring services whenever possible and reserve Smarthinking online tutoring for supplemental support when the ASC cannot meet their needs.

Advising – The Advising Center provides support and holds student appointments Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. Students are encouraged to self-schedule appointments; please visit nsc.edu/academics/academic-advising/ for information on how to self-schedule. During fall 2021, appointments will be available via phone, zoom, and the AAC will also offer limited in-person advising. Bookstore – The NS Bookstore’s hours for the fall are available here. Students can use our website at any time at https://www.bkstr.com/nscbookstore and can call us at 702-992-2340 during operating hours.
Career Services Center – The Career Services Center is offering virtual appointments (via Zoom or phone appointments) and limited in-person drop-in hours. Students are encouraged to self-schedule virtual appointments by going to www.nsc.edu/career or visiting our scheduling link at www.calendly.com/nsccareer.
In-person drop-in hours for fall semester are: Tuesdays from 11am-3pm & Thursdays from 1-5pm. Drop-in sessions are first-come, first-serve; an appointment is not necessary. CARE Team/Case Manager – If you are struggling with hunger, unstable housing, safety, mental health worries or ANY other concerns, contact case manager, Laura Hinojosa. Cashiering – the Cashier’s office will continue to provide remote support during normal business hours. Students are encouraged to contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. In-person payments and support are only offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Remote appointments are available Monday thru Friday. Schedule appointments at https://app.waitwhile.com/welcome/cashiering.
Community Engagement & Diversity Initiatives (CEDI) – Programming and events for CEDI will be delivered remotely for Fall 2020. Details about programs, events, and drop-in virtual office hours will be posted to all social media platforms for CEDI, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Staff are also available through remote communication (CEDI@nsc.edu).
Disability Resources – The DRC will continue to be available online to provide support and facilitate accommodations. Students can contact the DRC via Cranium Café, DRC email (email@example.com), or phone 702-992-2180. The DRC is available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. M-F.
Financial aid – The Office of Financial Aid is waiting to assist you by phone at 702-992-2150 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org weekdays from 8-5. Library – The Marydean Martin Library’s regular fall hours are Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5p.m; and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5p.m. Visit library.nsc.edu to reserve a study room, make an appointment for research help via the Meet with a Librarian service, and access the library’s extensive online resources.
Nepantla Program – The Nepantla Program will be offering virtual support via phone or video appointments. Students are encouraged to self-schedule appointments by visiting our scheduling link. Registrar – The Office of the Registrar is open for in-person services from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M, Monday – Friday. Students are encouraged to check-in to WaitWhile to ensure that only two students are in the office at any given time.
