Show your scorpion pride by joining in this special week of festivities as we continue to build traditions, unite our diverse campus community, and inspire involvement in college life!

MONDAY
SEP 21

Mindful Movement Yoga Session
11 a.m. to 12 p.m.  |  Virtual via Zoom

Join us for a beginner-friendly yoga class that will help you feel more grounded and balanced. This yoga flow, led by Nevada State College instructor and certified yoga teacher, Brandi Robinson, will focus on movement and mindfulness and will end with a brief mediation.

Trivia Mondays
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.  |  Virtual via Zoom

Join the Office of Student Life for their weekly Trivia Games every Monday at 4 p.m. Trivia Mondays will be hosted virtually on Zoom and through Kahoot! Each week we have different categories and topics. This week’s category is Music. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

President Bart Patterson will address campus constituents and the greater Henderson community to highlight recent Nevada State College accomplishments and detail upcoming plans and goals for the college.

Big Heads and Beats (Live Music and Caricatures)
1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  |  Virtual via Zoom

Join the Office of Student Life for a virtual party with our Big Heads and Beats Event! Log on to our video stream and take part in a one of a kind interactive music and art experience. While a drumming DJ plays to all the hits, a professional caricature artist will create your digital caricature LIVE! The experience will be streamed for all participants to see as your group or individual caricatures are created.

NSSA Craft Series-Abstract Art

Join us as the NSSA Involvement Committee hosts three craft series this fall semester! The first Craft series is abstract art. Art supplies will be provided for the first 24 students who RSVP.

Film and Webinar | Unspoken: America’s Native American Boarding Schools

Join us online for a discussion of Ken Burns’ documentary, Unspoken: America’s Native American Boarding Schools.  This webinar discussion moderated by Joshua Abbey, Director of Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival, featuring Justice Raquel Montoya-Lewis and Professor Andrew Woolford Ph.D. of the University of Manitoba. You can watch the film before this event for free at PBS Utah.

The Office of Arts & Culture is proud to support LET THERE BE NO REGRETS; an online series featuring our United States Poet Laureate, Joy Harjo, presented by Poetry Promise, Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival, and the Clark County Poet Laureate.

This event is part one of three. Series events run September 23rd, September 29th, and October 1st.

Student & Alumni Trivia Night

Do you have what it takes to be a trivia champion? Join us for a fun and fast-paced trivia game to put your knowledge to the test. Students and alumni are welcome!

Trivia round winners will receive a special NS Swag Pack, and the first 30 individuals to RSVP will receive an NS-branded mask. Participants are also eligible for additional prize drawings. See the RSVP form linked above for details.

Virtual Escape Room
5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  |  Virtual

Join the Office of Student life for the Virtual Escape Room Experience! Individuals or teams register and join a video stream that we host.  Once in the video stream, we place you into breakout rooms with your team members (if individuals register to play we will place you in teams) and send you the link to the escape room website.  During the game you communicate with your team members via the video stream to discuss your game and you can request a moderator to join your room at any time for help or hints.
