Scorpion CareerLink provides a documents and links library that includes items the Career Services team recommends for students and alumni. As our Center grows, we will continue to post materials in this area of the portal. From informative You Tube videos to handbooks and flyers, this is a great resource for your career development.

What Can I Do With This Major


Students at Nevada State College have a number of ways to connect with the new Career Services Center. From career counseling appointments to workshops, students are encourage to engage, connect and invest in their career goals!

To participate students must meet the following criteria:

  • A student must be currently enrolled at Nevada State College for 1 regular credit hour or more (audit-only students are not eligible)
  • A student must have a declared degree status of undecided or any degree major within the School of Education, School of Liberal Arts and/or Sciences or School of Nursing
  • Non-degree seeking students are not eligible, but may be granted usage on a case-by-case basis
  • Certificate/Licensure students may be eligible under the Alumni Eligibility guidelines (below) or granted access on a case-by-case basis
  • A student must be in good standing with the College (e.g. with Academic & Student Affairs and Student Conduct)
  • A student must be in good standing with the Cashier's Office and/or Financial Aid
  • Select services/events also require a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher:

Alumni are also welcome to enjoy all of the free services and tools offered by the Career Services Center that are available to currently enrolled students. To participate alumni must meet the following criteria:

  • Alumni must have a fully awarded degree (degree completion) from Nevada State College
  • Alumni who only completed a certificate/licensure with the College will be granted access on a case-by-case basis
  • Alumni must be in good standing with the College, their School and/or the Alumni Association

In addition, we encourage alumni who would like to become professional mentors or guest speakers at career workshops to contact us! Your insight is valuable to our campus, and we would enjoy seeing you again.

Scorpion CareerLink

Scorpion CareerLink is your centralized Career Services Center website. It's a convenient one-stop shop with online tools and resources. Some of its features include:

  • Campus and national job boards with full-time, part-time and other employment opportunities
  • Ability to create a student profile for participating employers to see
  • Ability to upload a resume and opt-in to the campus resume book
  • Ability to schedule career counseling appointments
  • Ability to view and RSVP to events and workshops
  • Access to a professional network database and career library materials
  • Access to participating company profiles and information


To use Scorpion CareerLink:

  1. Login to the NSC Portal and look for the briefcase "CareerLink" icon.
  2. Go to and login using your NSHE ID and campus computing password
  3. Be sure to read through the home page announcements which will include instructions on getting started.


To use Scorpion CareerLink

  1. Please email and you will be sent a personalized email message with a unique initial password login. Alumni do have to know and utilize their NSHE ID for the site, but because alumni are not part of the one-password system like active students are, alumni can set their own password upon initial login with the CSC email.
