Student Information

As a graduating student, you may have a lot of questions about preparing for and attending Commencement. You can find everything you need to know here!

IMPORTANT CEREMONY INFORMATION

All graduates are required to RSVP for the ceremony by May 5. We need to know how you plan to participate in the ceremony, whether that is in-person, virtually by watching the livestream, or not at all. Let us know your plans by registering via Marching Order. 2020 graduates will use the email address on file with the Alumni Network. 2021 graduates will use their student email address. This is the email address that Nevada State College has been using to send you commencement related communication.

We understand the challenges associated with in-person events and want all graduates and guests to feel comfortable. All graduates, regardless of their intention to participate in-person, will have their name read and grad slide displayed at their assigned ceremony. Those unable to attend in-person will have the option to view the livestream of their ceremony.

Ceremony times will be assigned and announced by May 14. Graduates will be assigned to a specific ceremony. They will not be able to attend any other ceremony.

Face coverings that completely cover the nose and mouth will be required at all times for all graduates and guests in attendance.

Tickets are required for the event. Each graduate is allowed a maximum of four guests. Information regarding ticket distribution will be emailed to graduates by May 21. This applies to only those who submit an RSVP for in-person participation by the RSVP deadline of May 5.

Students can update their information any time before the dates below:

  • May 5 – Deadline to RSVP for the ceremony.
  • May 11 – Deadline to record your name or enter the phonetic spelling of your name for the announcers.
  • May 21 – Deadline to submit a photo and personal message to be included on your grad slide.
