Ask Me Booths

Campus volunteers will be available at the Ask Me Booths located in the lobby of each building to assist with answering questions you may have relating to the first week of classes.

Donut Stress

10 AM to 2 PM  |  Lobby & Marydean Martin Library (Rogers Student Center)

Celebrate the first day of classes with the Office of Student Life and the Marydean Martin Library! Stop by the Scorpion Den on the first floor of the RSC building for Pinkbox Doughnuts and learn about the Scorpion Central platform where you can find all of the exciting events happening this semester! After you grab your donut, head upstairs to the library on the 2nd floor for coffee and tea!

Join us in the Plaza for burgers, hot dogs, music and free swag. Representatives from college departments will also be on site. Stop by to learn more about the resources and services available!

Drop in for a free crossbody bag, meet our campus clubs and organizations, and explore how you can get involved! Don’t see a club that interests you? Drop by the Student Life table to find out how you can create your own organization.

Textbook $marts

11 AM to 2 PM  |  Library (Rogers Student Center, 2nd Floor)

Stop by the 2nd floor of the RSC building to learn how the library has saved students over $1 million in textbook costs! The first 100 students will receive a special giveaway. Students can also enter a prize drawing for a study bundle.

Scorpion’s Kickoff

5 PM to 8 PM  |  Plaza (Outdoors)

Celebrate the completion of your first week at NSC by celebrating at our annual Scorpion Kickoff! Influenced by music festivals, we will have a DJ inside the tent, free food, Tie Dye station, outdoor games, colorful photo op locations, and much more!

This event is open to students, staff, faculty, and guests.

NSSA Skate Night

4 PM to 8 PM  |  Off Campus at Skate Rock City (4680 Boulder Hwy, Las Vegas, NV 89121)

Join us for a Skate Night hosted by NSSA at Skate Rock City! Free admission with food and beverages for the first 80 students. You can pick up your tickets at the Scorpion’s Kick-off on Thursday, August 25 or meet us at Skate Rock City at 4pm. If you have any questions about ticket pick-ups, email nssa.programming@nsc.edu.

Join us for a family-friendly celebration in honor of Nevada State College’s 20th anniversary at our Birthday Bash on September 1, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public, the event includes food, live music, games for all ages, kids’ activities – including an inflatable slide, face painting, and much more!
