Using his past experiences to positively motivate himself, Marcus Carlisle entered the criminal justice field with a goal of becoming a juvenile probation officer. Knowing he can relate to troubled kids and their parents makes his career choice a slam dunk. 🦂

Selected by the PaLS department, Daniela Garcia-Maldonado is an actively involved, bright student. Always learning, she has participated in INBRE’s iSURF program, conducted NIH research, and been an INBRE lab technician.

Throughout it all, she has persevered through significant health ...challenges. Daniela hopes to become a Physican Assistant and, as a DACA student, is creatively trying to find ways to pay for further education. She is graduating Summa Cum Laude.
