Elementary Education – Bilingual Education (BA)

Confidently Lead A Class

As Dr. Vanessa Mari notes in her recent editorial: “The Clark County School District is developing dual language bilingual schools. The ELL Master Plan published by the district shows the different types of models that will be implemented to benefit different student populations. To prepare future teachers to work in these bilingual schools, the faculty at Nevada State College developed a Elementary Education Bilingual degree which will start in Fall 2020. As the only bilingual opportunity for teachers in the valley, Nevada State College strives to prepare holistic educators to not only teach in both languages, but also build on students’ background and experiences.”

Comprised of research-based teaching methods and immediate placement of teacher candidates in the elementary classroom, our state-of-the-art program stands apart from the rest, jump-starting your career right after graduation. Dedicated professors are standing by to teach you the latest innovative teaching techniques, including guided reading, thinking maps, and the list goes on. A recognized leader in teacher preparation, you will be in a supportive environment to demonstrate these techniques, setting you up to BE THE DIFFERENCE in young people’s lives.
