Public Notice of CCNE Accreditation Site Visit

Nevada State College School of Nursing will host the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) from November 20, 2019, through November 22, 2019, when CCNE conducts their re-accreditation site visit for our BSN program.

CCNE provides the opportunity for our communities of interest, i.e., students, alumni, faculty, employers, clinical agencies, and the community-at-large to provide written input regarding our nursing program. Your feedback is valuable and appreciated.

You are cordially invited to submit your written feedback no later than twenty-one (21) days prior to the site visit.

All written and signed feedback will be accepted by CCNE until October 30, 2019, and should be directed to:

CCNE shares third-party comments only with the evaluation team prior to the on-site evaluation. At no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program. During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments, if any, that relate to the program’s qualifications for accreditation.

With the intentional structuring of the curricula in the caring science based upon the work of nurse theorist Dr. Jean Watson, our faculty are here to support you on your journey to academic and professional success, and inspire you to BE COMPASSIONATE as you provide nursing care to patients and their families.

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Nevada State College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

Clinical and Community Partnerships

Nevada State College partners with a variety of hospitals, clinics as well as with organizations in the community to provide our nursing students with valuable hands-on learning opportunities. The clinical, lab, and simulation experiences afford our students the opportunity to connect the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to actual patient care.
