Current Dual Credit Students

Continue your journey with Nevada State

Are you a current dual credit student? If so, we invite you to consider Nevada State as you explore options for completing your bachelor’s degree. For many students, Nevada State is a great fit, particularly if you like:

  • Small, personalized classes where instructors know your name and care about your future plans;
  • Instructors who focus on teaching first, offering engaging courses and thoughtful discussions about real-world issues;
  • A diverse community of students who are drawn to the thrill of participating in a new and growing campus.

As a Dual Credit student, you have some immediate advantages:

  1. There is no additional charge to apply. If you took classes as a Dual Credit student, you already paid the application fee for NSC, and we won’t charge you a second time. You will still need to complete the first-time student application, but there is no cost associated with it. Please ask your high school counselor for the fee waiver code.
  2. You already have experience with us. When you took Dual Credit courses, you got a taste of what will be expected of you as a college student at NSC. The transition from high school to college couldn’t be easier.

STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

Is NSC the right fit for you?

“I enjoyed dual credit because it made me feel very productive and ahead of the game. Dual credit is a way for you to get a feel of what you might experience in college. It’s very beneficial, the more credits you take in high school the less you have to worry about in college. This will give you a great head start. I would totally recommend dual credit to any high school student.” – Mowry Keeling, Psychology Major.

“I loved taking dual-credit classes because it was a great way to get ahead start on my pre-requisite courses. In addition, I definitely saved a lot of money. I highly recommended taking dual credit classes!” – Nevaeh Corpuz-Quemado, Pre-Nursing Major
